Overview: This hybrid learning course helps infrastructure owners strength infrastructure planning and asset management practices in response to climate change. Participants will develop a practical understanding of climate risks to infrastructure in New Brunswick, identify and evaluate adaptation strategies, and integrate equity considerations and First Nations engagement into everyday planning and decision-making.
Through a blend of online learning, virtual tutorials, and in-person workshops, the course emphasizes applied practice and culminates in the development of a climate adaptation improvement plan tailored to participants’ organizational contexts.
Target Audience: All Local Government and RSC Staff (Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Accountants, Planners, Technologists, etc.)
Format:
- 2 half-day in-person workshops (Fredericton [EN] or Moncton [FR])
- 4 hours of online eLearning modules
- 2 virtual tutorials
